These Positions have similar analytic and organizational management skills that are enhanced with specialized skill and knowledge concentrations. Incumbents may be asked to rotate among different concentrations as part of their learning and development and to meet the needs of the utility. The Electric Program Manager is an "at will" management position responsible for managing a multimillion-dollar customer-focused program or project in one of the following areas:Fiber Optics and Network Concentration – Performs administrative duties entailing the areas of fiber optic networks, dark fiber leasing, customer interface and contracts, communication delivery to internal and external customers, and project management.Clean Transportation/Electric Vehicles Concentration – Performs administrative, promotional and coordination duties entailing electric powered transportation for the City, de-carbonization of mobility, and monitoring of related legislative and regulations, reporting and compliance. Insure positive customer experience, perform planning and project management of capital improvements and insure system is properly maintained. Serve as liaison to various City Departments as the City prepares to electrify fleet vehicles.Capital Project Management Concentration – The focus and priority of this position will be managing the development and construction of the new City Hall/Utility Building Project and prioritize the utilization of the new Citywide capital project management software (e-builder). Manage consultants and administer public works contracts related to capital improvements, project management, scheduling, and project implementation. Performs and manages the work related to planning, design, construction, operations, and maintenance of utility projects, including electric transmission and distribution facilities and other electrical infrastructure.Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate will be a proven professional who enjoys working in an environment of growth and expansion.
