One opening is in Aerospace Engineering. A Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or related area is required. Applications are sought from an individual whose particular research includes space systems design, including a focus in, but not limited to space/air missions, guidance/navigation/control systems, astronautical power and propulsion, and other related areas of aerospace engineering.
Successful candidates will be expected to teach fundamental undergraduate and graduate courses in mechanical and aerospace engineering and develop strong externally funded research programs. Applicants should articulate a clear and substantiated vision of how their background can lead to sustained accomplishments through teaching, research, and an ability to engage in interdisciplinary activities and projects within one of the areas identified above.
