The Department of Pediatrics Division of Hematology Oncology at the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine is seeking a full time Assistant Professor on a Principal Non-Tenure Earning Pathway. The hematology oncology clinician will provide inpatient consultation to pediatric patients, primarily at Tampa General Hospital and at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital. Outpatient services will be provided at various USF Health and TGH clinics.
The Assistant Professor will also participate in the teaching of residents, and medical students in clinical medicine is an essential function of this position. To perform this position, the candidate will need to obtain and maintain a FL medical license, maintain credentials in the USF Health faculty practice plan, and be a medical staff member in good standing at the hospitals he/she is assigned to perform clinical duties. Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in patient care, teaching, academic research, and service. Normally will have produced creative work, professional writing or research in referred and other professional journals. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, and be eligible for full unrestricted Florida Medical License.
