Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions’ is seeking a Senior Level Electrical Engineer candidate with design and analysis experience in facility and site infrastructure electrical and control systems designs. Primary focus for project work will be to prepare construction drawings; life cycle analysis; develop specifications, systems modeling and equipment sizing, design analysis documentation, and costing; and assessing existing electrical, controls, and energy equipment for new and / or retrofit buildings designs. The position may also support other infrastructure projects up to medium voltage systems, and interacts with other engineers and architects, which may or may not be within local office. Key Responsibilities: - Leads a team to provide technical packages within defined schedule and budget requirements
- Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for developing electrical engineering designs for new facility construction and repairs, upgrades, and recommissioning of existing facilities
- Generating P&ID packages and specifying / programming PLCs for industrial plant design
- Design requirements include construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, schedules, record drawings, material submittal reviews, construction inspection and development of construction programming documents
- Performs facility assessment field work
- Generates workload plans, design analyses, systems models, drawing plans, specifications, cost estimates and estimated construction schedules
- Supports proposal generation
- Significant CADD / GIS work with AutoCAD EE
- Reviews work of and provides guidance to junior engineers
- Review submissions for adequacy and compliance with contractual documents
- Performs site verification on construction projects
- Types of projects may include primary and secondary electrical distribution, transformers, wiring, interior electrical systems, communications, lighting, industrial controls and control systems, instrumentation and energy conservation
- This is a senior role - the candidate must have the ability and desire to both lead a design team and also work as a team member in designs
- Typical projects include repair / replacement and new facility system designs for industrial and Department of Defense facilities worldwide, with construction values ranging from hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars
Skills / Qualifications Basic / Required Qualifications: - BS or Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering
- TX PE (or ability to quickly get TX PE through reciprocity) required
- Experience: 10+ years’ experience in performing construction designs for electrical distribution systems, interior electrical, transformers, communications, lighting, industrial controls and control systems, instrumentation and energy conservation
- Expertise through past experience in developing construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, schedules, and construction planning documents
- Skilled in developing construction designs for construction and repair of primary and secondary electrical distribution, transformers, wiring, interior electrical systems, communications, lighting, industrial controls and control systems, instrumentation and energy conservation
- Must pass drug test, background check, and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company’s driving (MVR) policy
- Ability to get US Passport
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with REVIT
- Experience with SKM or similar modeling software
Desired Optional Qualifications: - Experience with Wonderware software
- Experience with Smart pant software
