Teaching responsibilities may include working closely with department leadership at HUP and the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) to develop pathology informatics education and fellowship opportunities for trainees.
Clinical responsibilities may include: 1. Fulfilling the role of Medical director of Pathology Informatics at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania 2. Serving as a consultant to the medical staff and health system leadership in the domain of Pathology Informatics 3. Providing medical leadership for our LIS team by working closely with our Health System IT team 4. Partnering with various health system and research constituents, including our Institute for Biomedical Informatics, to advance patient care and discovery efforts by leveraging available data and technology assets. 5. Representing Lab/Pathology in driving maximum value from Penn Medicine’s electronic health record, PennChart. 6. Developing computational pathology as a clinical service 7. Working with PACS team to integrate and grow our digital imaging program.
