The Southwest Florida Water Management District (District), a leader in protecting Florida's water resources, is seeking a Water Supply Engineer in support of the Water Resources Bureau. This is a professional level technical and administrative engineering position in support of the Water Supply Section. The ideal candidate must have the ability to interpret and apply technical knowledge to complete complex assignments on time and budget and support District standards and practices for assigned projects. This position works with water utilities and/or water supply authorities planning and implementing projects, which requires an understanding of potable water and/or waste water treatment, production, distribution, efficiency measures, and reporting requirements. The position works on large-scale, regional projects and teams working with cooperators and other staff, and leads water audits, leak detection surveys, meter accuracy, and other utility services.
