The Project Engineer or Scientist will lead and manage a multi-year study into environmental life cycle assessment and related research in pavement- and transportation-related activities. This will require the development of experimental plans, activity studies, collection of relevant data, data analysis, and report and implementation plan writing.

Basic qualifications include a PhD in civil or geotechnical engineering or a related field, and experience with pavement and transportation engineering design, construction, maintenance, and operation. Demonstrated ability to conduct and lead field and laboratory testing. Demonstrated experience with the use of life cycle assessment software tools and numerical models. A demonstrated ability to quickly turn research results into technical reports and peer-reviewed publications. Experience with communicating with a diverse set of stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications: experience working with and mentoring graduate students and field technicians.
