We are seeking a highly motivated senior post-doctoral fellow or research associate level scientist to work on transplantation genomic datasets from the University of Pennsylvania, and a large international transplant consortium, iGeneTRAiN, encompassing the largest transplant studies every assembled (www.igenetrain.org). We have detailed clinical information including individual rejection data and complications of rejection. We have genome-wide SNP data on > 50,000 participants and whole-exome sequencing (WES) on subsets with additional WES studies ongoing on additional cohorts. For many of these studies we also have existing genomic DNA, RNA, biopsies, and plasma/serum for additional wet lab experiment.
Our group is highly collaborative and the successful applicant must be able to effectively communicate with transplant clinicians, geneticists, and epidemiologists at the Division of Transplantation and The Institute of Biomedical Informatics. The applicant must have a strong GWAS and statistical background, excellent writing skills, and innovative biological insight.
