The Center for Omics Discovery and Epidemiology (CODE) of RTI International has an opening for a senior scientist, parallel to a Full-level Professor, to lead and expand an NIH-funded program of research to integrate multiple omics data for complex human diseases. Our research team emphasizes cross-institute collaborations with the Biostatistics & Epidemiology and Research Computing Divisions and university collaborations to advance understanding of the etiology of complex human diseases, including but not limited to substance use disorders and related health consequences, blood disorders, and respiratory traits, in ethnically and geographically diverse cohorts. The candidate needs a strong analytic background, as evidenced by development of novel statistical methods and/or application of cutting-edge approaches for substantiative research in any area of complex human disease. This position enables pursuit of a full time, independently-driven, research-focused agenda with the autonomy to collaborate internally and/or externally. This position has no teaching or administrative commitments.
