Faculty Position in Population Health Sciences
The Department of Molecular and Translational Medicine invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the full professor level. We seek individuals with Ph.D., M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent degrees, with a record of accomplishment in population health research, particularly in biomedical informatics or a related field, established national reputation, and 10 years of cumulative experience at assistant and associate professor levels.
Ideal candidates will have expertise in the development and application of informatics tools that integrate with electronic health records, so that these tools may be used for evaluating decision-making as it relates to optimizing health care delivery and assessing preventative care. Alternatively, optimal candidates will have expertise and experience in the use of machine learning and deep learning as applied to understanding and improving health care outcomes. The ability to work collegially and collaboratively with clinicians, other biomedical scientists, and with information technology leaders is essential.

Recruited faculty will join an active research group in the Department of Molecular and Translational Medicine and Population Health Sciences, supported by generous startup funds, a competitive salary, modern facilities and instrumentation, and administrative and infrastructure support. Faculty with clinical interests may be eligible for a secondary appointment in another department in the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine.
