Hiring Range: $87,650 - $137,736/Year D.O.Q.
The City of Fayetteville is currently recruiting for an Engineering Division Manager to direct, manage, supervise and coordinate the programs and activities of the Engineering Division of the Public Services Department including reviewing and approving plans, specifications and bids, and resolving highly sensitive issues with citizens and other departments; to coordinate assigned activities with other departments, divisions and outside agencies; and to provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Public Services Director. Depending on qualifications, this position will supervise professional, paraprofessional and support staff in stormwater and infrastructure development review, the Stormwater Division, engineering project management, Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and horizontal and/or vertical construction management. This position will act as City Engineer as appropriate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Experience:Six years of increasingly responsible professional civil engineering experience including two years of administrative and supervisory responsibility.
Training:Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or a related field.
LICENSING & CERTIFICATIONS
Required:North Carolina Professional Engineer (PE) license; possession of an appropriate valid driver's license and ability to maintain insurability.
Preferred:Certified Construction Manager, Certified Flood Plain Manager, Certified Stormwater Manager, Project Management Professional.
