With limited direction, performs advanced senior level professional engineering duties in the area of responsibility. Serves as the agency subject matter expert for all phases of Sound Transit corridor and non-corridor projects. Provides technical and strategic support to project directors and managers. Oversees a full range of traffic engineering analyses, functions, and design. Ensures conformance with standards; and responds to questions and inquiries from local jurisdictions, the public, contractors, consultants, engineering professionals, and Agency staff regarding traffic engineering.

In area of assignment:
Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and six years of experience in the area of traffic engineering and transportation systems operations, preferably in a rail or transit related environment.Required Licenses or Certifications:
NOTE: Candidates with a Professional Engineer license in Washington State will be given precedence; however, those licensed in other states will be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending on their ability to obtain a WA state PE license.
