Pacheco Project Delivery Unit (Position Codes 0588 and 1014 - 2 positions)
Overview: To serve as project lead and/or Engineer-of-Record, sign and stamp engineering reports, engineering design analyses and calculations, construction plans and specifications, and other technical documents for capital improvement projects. To prepare Planning Study Reports, perform complex engineering design analyses and calculations, and prepare construction contract drawings, specifications and cost estimates. To select consultants, negotiate and manage consultant contracts, and complete technical review of consultant deliverables as a registered Professional Engineer (PE) subject matter expert. To lead, direct, oversee and participate in the work of professional engineering and technical staff and to ensure work quality and adherence to professional codes, standards and Valley Water specifications. To train lower level engineering staff on engineering design. To provide engineering support during construction as a PE subject matter expert, including the following tasks: complete submittal reviews; respond to requests for information; and interpret project drawings, specifications and contract documents. May represent Valley Water in interagency coordination required to complete the above-mentioned work.

Ideal Training and Education: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in civil engineering, structural engineering, environmental engineering, water resources. Professional Civil Engineer license (PE) is required.
