SUMMARY – The Program Director for Medical Professionalism, Ethics, & Humanities is an integral part of the curricular team at RowanSOM. The understanding and integration of professionalism and ethics is critical to the school’s mission of training “clinically skillful, compassionate and culturally competent physicians, ready to meet future healthcare workforce needs”. This position ensures best teaching and assessment practices through collaboration with faculty across the four year medical school curriculum and in the graduate medical education programs.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: PH.D, DO, MD, or JD degree with experience in teaching bio medical ethics is preferred. Experience in the social sciences, particularly medical anthropology and medical sociology would be beneficial. A Masters in biomedical ethics with 3 years of teaching experience in higher education will be considered. Clinical experience and publication history in bio ethics is desirable.
