The City of Lake Oswego announces a career growth opportunity for a Senior Associate Engineer in the Engineering Department. Lake Oswego is part the Portland Metro Area of Oregon.
This position will provide professional engineering services to the City in support of traffic management, traffic engineering, and transportation systems. Under the general direction of the City Engineer, this position will manage all aspects of the City’s transportation system and provide professional engineering services to an array of customers, including the City Manager’s office, the Lake Oswego Redevelopment Agency, and the City Council. The position will also provide technical support and direction for the Transportation Advisory Board (TAB). This classification is represented by the Lake Oswego Municipal Employees’ Association.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Education and Experience: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and eight years of engineering or traffic operations experience; or any combination of education, training and experience that would provide the required knowledge and ability to perform the job. The incumbent is required to be a Registered Professional Engineer in Oregon and hold a valid driver’s license.
