The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is seeking a creative and forward thinking Traffic Operations Engineer, who will continue to move the Southwest Region forward. Reporting directly to the Region Traffic Engineer, this position requires high-level knowledge and strategic thinking regarding all aspects and components of Traffic Operations to insure plans produced result in an efficient operable system that interacts with the complete multimodal transportation system. The successful individual will also be responsible for collaborating directly with Planning, Project Development, and Programming to promote an integrated scoping process for SW Region. This job requires a resilient leader, confident in their knowledge of engineering practices, state and agency strategic goals, environmental laws and regulations, principles of traffic operations and safety, leadership principles, planning, and interagency cooperation.
