**SALARY DEPENDS ON QUALIFICATIONS**
Franklin PUD is searching for an Engineering Manager to join our team. This position works under the direction of the Director of Engineering and provides supervision of the Engineering Department. This includes System and Field Engineers, Project Engineers, GIS Engineer, Engineering Clerk, Engineering Administrative Assistant, contract construction and contract engineering. The Engineering Manager represents the District and works closely with other agencies within our service areas. Other duties include performance of system studies, technical studies, technical liaison duties, engineering design and development of specifications. The Engineering Manager also assumes the duties of the Director of Engineering, as needed.

Knowledge, skills and abilities: Thorough understanding of electric system transmission and distribution engineering design and operation, GIS database principles and applications in an electric utility environment. Also requires a thorough understanding of job-related rules, applicable codes, contracts and electric utility operating procedures. Ability to use personal computer, spreadsheet, word processing and distribution-related software. Ability to use advanced calculator function. Capability of operating office machines. Ability to listen and communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Possesses strong organization skills.
Education and experience: A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and 8 years of applicable electric utility engineering experience are required. Registration as a Professional Electrical Engineer (PE) or obtain one within one year of hire. Three years supervisory experience is preferred.
Works indoors and sits for extended periods.
A valid Washington State Driver’s License is required.
