Under general direction, performs advanced senior level professional engineering duties in assigned area of responsibility, including those related to project management and contract administration; ensures work quality and adherence to professional engineering standards; coordinates assigned activities with other divisions, programs, Departments/Offices, and outside agencies; serves as a professional resource on resolving changes to design, claims, and other related issues; and responds to questions and inquiries from the general public, contractors, consultants, engineering professionals, and Agency staff regarding engineering information related to area of assignment.

Education and Experience: Bachelors Degree in civil engineering, or closely related field and a minimum of 6 years of civil/architectural engineering design and construction experience that includes significant experience with project and contracts management experience, preferably in a rail or transit related environment; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Licenses or Certifications:
NOTE: Candidates with a Professional Engineer license in Washington State will be given precedence; however, those licensed in other states will be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending on their ability to obtain a WA state PE license.
