Seattle Public Utilities is seeking a Watershed Engineer (Civil Engineering Specialist, Senior) to work out of our Watershed located in North Bend, WA. Ideal candidates will be entrepreneurial, display a strong ability to act independently and manage projects from inception to completion.The position reports to the Watershed Operations Manager and works closely with a variety of skilled professional staff including Forest Maintenance Workers, Heavy Equipment Operators, Hydrologists, Foresters, Biologists, Consultants, Managers, Engineers, computer Analysts and City, County, State and Federal agencies.The Watershed Engineer serves to prepare forest road work planning for annual and long-term improvements, decommissioning and maintenance. Central to this work is coordinated field investigation, the design and layout for a variety of road projects. The Watershed Engineer is accountable for managing the Watershed Bridge Program, involving monitoring and assisting in bridge inspections, maintenance and the coordination of bridge replacement projects.About Seattle Public Utilities:Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) is a Community Centered Utility working to make Seattle the best place to live for everyone.
