DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Promotes increasing use of concrete within the public market using marketing techniques and a technical educating perspective. This would include parking lots, roads, streets, and other public improvements. Provides advice and assistance from conception and planning to completion by working with engineers, architects, contracting authorities, and municipalities in Michigan, concentrating in the southeast portion of the state.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Must posses a bachelors’ degree in engineering (civil/environmental preferred), construction management, marketing, business, or similar program from an accredited university or equivalent in relevant experience. Strong organizational skills with ability to work independently. Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak publicly to educate and/or persuade.
Strong research skills with the ability to take complicated information and data and synthesize it into understandable information. Experience and or knowledge of the concrete construction industry preferred.
Extensively travel by car and plane. Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle report.
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
Position requires extensive public speaking. Position will require the use of telephone and spend time sitting, using a keyboard, working on a computer. Travel is required. Regular lifting, bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching. Lifting generally under 50 lbs. Need to be able stand for long periods of time.
