The Opportunity: The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Local Programs Office is currently seeking to fill the role of City Safety & Traffic Programs Manager, which is located in Olympia, WA. This position manages the City Safety Program and provides direct traffic engineering expertise to local jurisdictions throughout the state. The position identifies and proposes solutions to traffic and safety issues such as safety improvement location and countermeasure selection, traffic operations, traffic control and warning devices, and others. In addition, the position works with the Washington Transportation Professionals peer exchange, providing training and facilitating other peer exchange opportunities.
