There are several immediate and near-term openings for the following levels: Staff Engineer with a minimum 2 years of hands-on experience; Staff Engineer with an MS degree or PhD in geotechnical engineering from a recognized college or university with a strong reputation; Project Civil Engineer or Geotechnical Engineer with a P.E. from any State and a minimum 5 years of hands-on experience; or Senior Civil Engineer, Geotechnical Engineer or Structural Engineer with a P.E. and/or G.E. from any State and a minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in their respective engineering discipline and project management. The Geotechnical Engineer position in our California offices requires a G.E. license in California. Specialized experience is preferred in one or more of the following fields: civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, hydrology, hydraulics, structural engineering, coastal engineering, geological engineering, construction engineering, and project management. Projects would include the design, evaluation, inspection, assessment, construction and rehabilitation of dams, levees and other water retaining structures, flood control and wastewater facilities in the United States, including earth, rockfill, concrete and roller compacted concrete (RCC) structures, levees, pipelines, channels, hydraulic structures, spillways, reservoir outlet works, pump stations, and coastal projects such as sedimentation studies, breakwaters and jetties. A Master's Degree or higher is preferred for all positions, but a lesser degree will be considered based on experience and location. Requirements also include strong computer skills, hands-on experience using SharePoint and/or other collaboration and document exchange programs, very good communications and excellent writing skills, and evidence of success in working well with other staff and clients as part of a responsive, technical and professional team.
