The Computational Earth Science Group in the Earth and Environmental Sciences Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory has a rewarding position for a postdoctoral research associate in the field of network and spatial optimization. The Computational Earth Science Group (EES-16) focuses on a broad array of energy, environmental, and national security challenges, including energy, environment, and national and global security. The successful candidate will work as part of a small team developing and applying network and spatial optimization techniques to CO 2 capture and storage (CCS) problems. The team is developing the SimCCS software, an economic-engineering framework for helping scientists, stakeholders and policy makers understand how CCS infrastructure could or should be deployed.
