The County is recruiting for a new Director of Land Use and Transportation. This position requires someone with extensive senior management experience guiding successful programs in the areas of land use and transportation and working with political, business and community leaders. The ideal candidate will have experience in more than one of the following: land use planning and community development, transportation policy development and implementation, capital project management, and transportation system maintenance. He or she must communicate effectively both orally and in writing, work constructively with diverse interests and have experience solving problems in a challenging environment. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a history of progressive, proactive and innovative program development and administration and a track record of successful follow-through and implementation.
