This individual will be responsible for a wide range of engineering management, design oversight and project coordination activities in support of the client’s program management team. The towers project manager will support the design, construction, installation and sustainment of our client’s communications towers and related infrastructure along the U.S. border, primarily the southern border with Mexico.
This position will serve as a Project Manager responsible for assisting a federal agency manage its towers and associated infrastructure along the border of the United States. Responsible for supporting the federal government in the implementation of design and maintenance standards, development of strategies and engineering reviews of designs during the project planning, design, and construction phases are in compliance with Government requirements and standards. Will perform and review portfolio-level planning documents including site assessments, preliminary designs, alternatives analysis, schedules and cost estimates. Responsible for the coordination of service providers, government agencies and other contractors; review of design plans, oversight of environmental studies and real property procurement, creating and delivering client briefings and associated status reports, and cost estimates and project budgets toward the successful development, installation and sustainment of tower structures. Tasks include reviewing and analyzing condition and maintenance reports to establish the technical direction of client’s maintenance and repair program for the associated infrastructure elements.
A background in communications tower design, construction, maintenance and repair is highly desired. Related facilities and infrastructure experience would include transportation and roadway projects and large public works projects associated with utilities services. The candidate shall have consultative capabilities with strong communication and organizational skills. Must be able to work in a dynamic, politically-charged environment across multiple organizations, numerous stakeholders (internal and external) and evolving priorities while maintaining a professional, can-do attitude. Requires a proactive leader able to work with minimal guidance.
