The primary role of this position consists of coordinating and reviewing submitted Traffic Impact Analysis' (TIAs) with NCDOT and member jurisdictions. Includes coordinating and facilitating weekly TIA meetings, meeting agenda preparation and up-dates, ensuring TIA reviews/comments meet legislative mandated timelines, provide and distribute comments, coordination with developers and consulting Transportation Engineers, writing draft and final written scope and final approval letters, assist in reviewing submitted technical documents, tables, calculations and models; receive, distribute and review TIAs for technical correctness and completeness, maintaining and tracking digital and hardcopy TIA files.Additional duties include:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field of study. Experience: At least three (3) years of Transportation Engineering or closely related field, construction management and/or project management experience.Other Requirements: Engineering Intern (EI) or Professional Engineer (PE), State of North Carolina Driver's License.Notes: Driving and criminal history check required for the selected candidate. The selected candidate will also be required to complete a post-offer drug screen.
