Summary/Objective The Business Development Manager is responsible for supporting the creation and evaluation of new product ideas and subsequent development of approved products within the Bromine Research & Technology group. The role requires significant envisioning of potential value for new products and will assist in the development of business cases and value propositions to justify projects. A key contribution of this evaluation will be the Business Development Manager’s comprehensive market analyses and sound economic models that will provide the foundation for business decisions. The Business Development Manager will implement successful product development strategies while working collaboratively with research & development personnel, engineering teams, and product managers. The Business Development Manager will develop and administer plans and schedules for cross-functional teams and prioritize activities that lead to decision points throughout the new product development cycle. The Business Development Manager will also engage with customers, potential customers, and relevant stakeholders to elicit customer preferences (i.e., blueprinting) during new product development.
The candidate must have a proven track record of both technical and analytical experience performing early stage research for the development of new products. The role will require creative thinking and someone gifted in the art of deciphering market needs in well-served markets. The candidate will also leverage exceptional communication skills for interacting with both internal and external stakeholders. This position reports to the New Business Development Director and is located in our headquarters in Charlotte, NC.
