Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position available for an experienced structural engineer. Responsibilities include preparing structural analysis, designs and calculations for new and renovated aviation, federal, commercial, and industrial building structures; preparing project plans and specifications for permit review, bidding and construction; attending periodic construction site visits to observe and document project progress; and mentoring less experienced staff. Travel will be required.
The successful candidate will have all of the following:
The ideal candidate will have experience in any/all of the following; designing and detailing structural steel, light gage steel, plain and reinforced masonry, precast concrete, tilt-up concrete, and heavy timber structural building systems; multi-floor building design; codes, statutes, and laws related to building design and construction; RAM and/or RISA, and SAP structural analysis software;; construction administration; Revit. The ideal candidate will also have an SE license.
