Administers and directs all transmission and distribution operations including engineering, construction, maintenance and metering. Responsible for monitoring operations of the system, maintaining records and setting standards for the system.
Typical duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Supervision: Supervision of 30 to 40 personnel in Line Department required.
Confidentiality: Will be exposed to confidential information. Other information which is highly sensitive should be treated as confidential.
Mental Application: High degree of decision-making ability required. Will be required to think in abstract terms and anticipate future trends in the industry. Project management skills will be essential.
Responsibility: A high degree of responsibility is required. Errors in decision-making could have significant effects on the company.
Contacts: A high degree of contact, internal and external.
Expenditures: This position is expected to operate within an approved budgetary allowance and follow company purchasing policies and procedures.
Working Conditions: Working in an office environment with a large amount of time outdoors. Occasionally, may be required to spend time in areas of high noise, dust or damp environment. Travel will be required with occasional overnight stays. Air travel may be required. After hours emergency response will be expected.
Equipment: This position is expected to be very knowledgeable with computers, office software, drawings, and radio systems. Must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
