Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Geomatics CADD Technician to join our growing Geomatics operations. Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions, Inc. is a global multi - disciplined engineering, environmental, and construction services consulting firm. We are routinely awarded contracts on a regional and national level for the government, commercial, industrial, transportation, water, energy, and mining sectors.
The Survey CAD Technician will transform raw field data from our survey crews into final maps and plans using computer aided drafting (CAD) and prepare surveying drawing and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards. Knowledge of boundary and topographical survey layout is required. The ability to professionally interact with clients and staff is a benefit. Must be proficient in preparing boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and utility surveys. MicroStation experience in the Survey and Mapping field is required.
Work within multidiscipline team on wide variety of roadway, civil, civil / environmental and A / E projects, including Transportation plans, site development, infrastructure, landfills, stream restoration, soil and groundwater remediation. The CADD technician will work in MicroStation with both 2D and 3D survey files. The technician will work closely with the Geomatics team lead, survey field crews, SUE field crews, mobile scanning crews and Geomatics project managers, and clients to establish documents that communicate survey information to the Geomatics group’s clients.
This position will require the use of MicroStation software to be used in the processing and drawing production of roadway mapping from field survey data. This position will frequently work +50 hrs. / week. Experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D, Trimble GPS Instrumentation and Software a plus.
