The Department of Pediatrics, University at Buffalo (UB), Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Science and Oshei Children’s Hospital is actively recruiting full-time physician in the Division of Genetics. The successful applicant will be an academic physician who will exhibit a balanced commitment of clinical care, education and clinical or bench research. The candidate will hold a medical degree and be board-eligible/certified in Medical Genetics.
The Division of Genetics runs an active outpatient metabolism, dysmorphology and genetic counseling program, while supporting the inpatient units, the Maternal Fetal Center and multidisciplinary clinics at Oshei Children’s Hospital.
UBMD Pediatrics is one of 18 practice plans within UBMD Physicians’ Group, the single largest medical group in Western New York. We provide premier health care to infants, children, adolescents and adults. In addition to primary care pediatrics, we have 14 pediatric subspecialties. Our physicians make up the academic teaching faculty within the Department of Pediatrics at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Buffalo and at Oshei Children’s Hospital. Qualified candidates must be an MD or MD, PhD and be board certified in Pediatrics and board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Medical Genetics. Candidates must have demonstrable experience in clinical medicine with specific expertise in the care of pediatric patients with all Genetic diagnoses. Evidence of productive clinical or basic research will strongly support any candidate for the position.
The salary is commensurate with experience and will be competitive.
