Hiring Range: $52,824 - $67,917 / Year D.O.Q.
The City of Fayetteville is currently recruiting for a Street Maintenance Superintendent for our Public Services Department to supervise, assign and review the work of staff in the Streets Maintenance Division responsible for the maintenance and construction of City streets and alleys, and maintenance of storm drains; to oversee and manage all work activities; to recommend and assist in the implementation of goals, objectives, plans and budgets; and to perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Experience: Five years of increasingly responsible experience in streets construction and maintenance, or a related field, including two years administrative and supervisory responsibility.
Training: Equivalent to an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in construction management, business administration, public administration or a related field and/or specialized training in construction management.
LICENSING & CERTIFICATIONS
Required: Possession of a valid Class B CDL and ability to maintain insurability.
Preferred: Construction related certificates, such as work zone safety, trenching & excavation, confined space entry, etc.; Commissioned by the State of North Carolina as a Notary Public; CPR certification; First Aid certification; FEMA training completion.
