WisCNano is a newly launched center stemming from a strong UW initiative to foster nanotechnology-based pharmaceutical sciences. The center is established to unify, coordinate, and promote research and scholarship in collaborative effort in nanomedicine and other cutting-edge nanotechnologies.
Job Duties: Under the guidance of faculty mentors in WisCNano, the Research Associate will plan, conduct, and analyze experiments related to multiple projects in nanomedicine. The Research Associate will further develop and help submit research proposals, publish results in peer-reviewed journals, and present research at research meetings. Percent Time: 100%
Salary: $50,000+, negotiable based on qualification and experience of the candidate.
Requirements: Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences, polymer science, bioengineering, or a relevant discipline. Experience with nanotechnology and animal studies, e.g., mouse tumor models, is required. Specific skills in other animal surgical procedures, animal imaging, cell culture, and immunology background will be considered an advantage. Fluency in English is a necessity. Finally, the applicant must be a team player, able to collaborate and communicate with scientists and clinicians across fields.
