This position will be filled at varying levels (I - senior). Based on level, the incumbent performs entry - complex and technically sophisticated engineering design, analysis, construction and/or project management in the electrical power generation field. Works with or assists in activities related to the planning, design, construction, operation, maintenance and rehabilitation of hydroelectric generation plants and related facilities such as switchyards, substations, etc., and may include work done by engineering consultants.
Based on level, the incumbent may perform as a design engineer, project engineer or project manager and may lead project teams, and may interact with all levels of the organization, including engineering consultants to troubleshoot and resolve problems during design, construction or installation. Senior level incumbents lead and direct the work of lower level electrical engineers.

Bachelor's degree (B. S., B. A.) in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from four-year college or university (or related degree in physics or math); or equivalent registered PE.
Based on level of incumbent (I - Senior); some experience prefered in a hydro generation and/or electric utility gained in employment or internship. Higher level incumbents are required to possess up to eight (8) years' experience in the electric utility industry, preferably in the electrical power generation field (hydroelectric generation, distribution, transmission or substations).
