Meyer, Meyer, LaCroix & Hixson, Inc. is seeking Civil Engineers in our Alexandria and Ruston, Louisiana offices. These positions are targeted for experienced Civil Engineers who are interested in public and private utility, transportation and development projects. The positions will include planning, developing, coordination and directing various civil engineering works with a focus on public infrastructure projects.
Successful candidates for the two open positions at MML&H will be responsible for producing civil contract documents for site development and infrastructure improvement projects based upon client objectives.
Engineering work at MML&H may include a wide range of interesting projects involving site selection, planning and design, stream pollution control; comprehensive development planning and environmental assessments; highway, parking lot and street design; drinking water supply, treatment and distribution; sanitary sewer collection, pumping and treatment; gas distribution systems; airport planning and design; utility relocations; drainage; subdivision development; industrial park planning and design; and recreational facilities planning and design.

Ideal candidates will be licensed Engineering Interns (E.I.) or licensed Professional Engineers (P.E.) in Louisiana with a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (or a closely related field) and have 1-5 years of experience in civil engineering including project management experience. The successful candidate will possess excellent written and oral communication skills; will have strong leadership and problem-solving skills; will have a superior work ethic and the desire to advance; will be a self-starter with the ability to work independently or with team members. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred.
