Overview
The Department of Biomedical Sciences invites applications for a teaching faculty position beginning in July 2019. We are seeking applicants with expertise in Human Physiology & Aging. This is a full-time, 12-month faculty position. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in human aging and physiology. They will also be expected to teach both science and non-science courses in the University Curriculum.

The Biomedical Sciences department is part of the School of Health Sciences. The School of Health Sciences offers a comprehensive spectrum of health science programs designed to address the evolving health needs of a diverse society. Building upon a solid foundation in the basic sciences and liberal arts and using innovative teaching and hands-on experience, the School of Health Sciences seeks to integrate theory, research, and practice to best prepare health care practitioners and biomedical scientists who can demonstrate leadership in their disciplines and in the global community. The School of Health Sciences offers a student-centered learning environment with inter professional collaboration within and across the schools and colleges of the University.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in human aging, physiology and exercise physiology
• Academic advising to undergraduate students in the Biomedical Sciences programs
• Mentoring students in undergraduate research

Education Requirements:

• PhD in physiology or closely related area, with appropriate post-doctoral experience, preferred
• Candidates with a master's degree may be considered based on teaching experience
