The Asset Manager plans, directs and coordinates all activities and employees of the Asset Management Section of the Utilities Department, including developing and implementing section goals and objectives and developing, implementing and administering the division budget.
The position is responsible for asset management planning, project administration and inspection, infrastructure design, materials and workmanship standards for water, wastewater, stormwater and levee infrastructure. Duties include the analysis of hydraulic models, wastewater and stormwater basin studies and development of facility plans for all water, wastewater, stormwater and levee infrastructures. Infrastructure mapping and document controls, and the backflow prevention program.
Additionally, the position provides utilities engineering support services that include investigations, analysis and correction of water main breaks, potable water quality issues, sanitary and stormwater collection systems’ integrity, and water and wastewater plant issues.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, management, or other closely related field, registration as a Professional Engineer desired.
Must have five years of civil engineering experience preferably in water; wastewater and/or stormwater engineering, two years of utility management and two years of supervisory experience required.
