This position combines volunteer engagement, market analysis, sales, product development, budgeting, forecasting, and relationship management skills to lead and drive TAPPI's volunteer engine for assigned member groups (Divisions, Committees, Local Sections, etc.), Conferences, and development of other products (as identified and/or assigned). In addition this position:
The Tissue Division Manager (TDM) is accountable for the relationship with assigned member groups, understanding the markets assigned members groups serve and will also support in the ideation, coordination and production of various TAPPI products & services (events, publications, standards, training, membership, and potential new products). The TDM will have the team lead and overall P&L accountability for assigned events related to assigned member groups. This is done through the various TAPPI departments (meeting planning, speaker management, marketing, web team, etc) with the TDM’s primary personal focus on identifying and meeting the needs of the member groups. The TDM interfaces extensively with internal stakeholders and volunteers and should have the ability to provide top notch member service with a friendly proactive attitude backed by a high attention to detail. Skills and Knowledge:
The TDM must demonstrate proven experience in member service and a desire to build team based relationships with TAPPI volunteers. Industry experience is a plus but not required.
