Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is seeking an Engineering Technician to join our team in Wilmington, NC. This position will involve construction observation and materials testing, conducting field work and documenting construction activities, and conferring with engineers and other technicians, using defined test procedures.
Entry level to 3 - year hourly position. We will provide the candidate orientation and training in the nature of the consulting business, i.e., how to be conduct the field testing and data reports, how to write reports, correspondence and internal documents, and how to gain familiarity with the standard procedures and practices associated with his / her discipline. Typical project assignments include collecting or compiling construction related observation and testing data in the field or from published and unpublished materials, entering data into and extracting data from standard computer programs. It is required to travel to field assignments at times. All work performed by the incumbent will be under the supervision of the project manager or more senior personnel.
