Department of Transportation - Administration
This position is responsible for the coordination, inspection, oversight, testing and record-keeping on a variety of construction projects. This individual is also responsible for monitoring the scope, schedule and budget of transportation projects to ensure compliance with construction documents & specifications. Individuals in this position coordinate extensively with contractors, county staff and occasionally outside project design consultants in connection with the projects’ construction phase. Individuals in this position must be able to read and interpret plans and be familiar with the Georgia DOT specifications, project bidding and contracting requirements. The individual must also be familiar with federal, state and local regulations and requirements applicable to federally funded and local transportation construction projects.
This position is also responsible for coordination of materials and all other testing required ensuring the project meets the appropriate county, state and federal requirements.
Employment is contingent on passing a mandatory Physical/Drug Screen/MVR and Background Investigation.
