The Allen USDA lab at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center, in collaboration with others, is seeking a graduating PhD student or postdoc to fill postdoctoral positions in the lab focused on photosynthetic carbon assimilation, photorespiration, and central carbon metabolism that leads to enhanced productivity and altered resource partitioning to valued products in plants. The incumbents will learn and perform isotopic labeling and flux analyses on plant tissues as part of a collaborative multi-investigator grant. Training in biochemistry, metabolism and mass spectrometry would be useful but not strictly required for a motivated learner.
