Agora is a unique, synergistic environment with the objective to translate cancer therapy from the bench to the clinic (https://www.isrec.ch/en/agora/objective). It brings together investigators from four institutions (University of Lausanne, and its branch of the Ludwig Institute, CHUV and EPFL) and multiple disciplines (including bioengineers, bioinformaticians, chemists, cancer biologists, imaging experts and cancer therapy investigators).
EPFL is a dynamic science and engineering university fostering excellence and diversity. It is consistently ranked among the top research institutions in Europe, and offers a rich international environment with English as the common language. Bioengineering research is supported by numerous outstanding core facilities including imaging, proteomics, bioinformatics, genomics, flow cytometry, microfabrication, and biomolecular screening.
As an EPFL faculty member, the successful candidate is expected to initiate an independent and innovative translational research program, and to participate in undergraduate and graduate-level teaching. Internationally competitive salaries, benefits, start-up resources, and a generous yearly running budget are offered.
