Engineering Manager (Capital Engineering Manager)

Overview: This position will direct, manage, supervise, coordinate and approve the activities and operations of the Pacheco Project Delivery Unit within Dam Safety and Capital Delivery Division. The position will oversee performance of professional engineering functions in the planning, design and construction of the Pacheco Reservoir Expansion Project, as well as other water utility capital projects as assigned, and coordinate assigned activities under other units, groups, and outside agencies. It will also provide complex staff assistance to the Deputy Operating Officer of the Dam Safety and Capital Delivery Division.
Key Responsibilities Include:
· Manage, direct, and oversee Pacheco Reservoir expansion planning, design, permitting and construction.
· Manage, direct, and oversee Capital projects as assigned.
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in water resources management, natural resources management, planning, civil or other field of engineering, geology, physical sciences, earth sciences, natural sciences or a field related to assigned functional area(s).
License or Certificate:
Possess and maintain a valid license as a Professional Engineer issued by the California Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists. Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid California driver's license. Individuals who do not meet the driver's license requirement due to a disability will be considered for a reasonable accommodation on a case-by-case basis.
