The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Temple University invites applications for multiple tenure-track (TT) and non-tenure-track (NTT; Instructional) faculty positions at the rank of Assistant / Associate / Full Professor in civil infrastructure and environmental areas. In environmental, the primary interest is in biological process engineering although other areas are also of interest such as, but are not limited to: innovative materials/processes in water treatment, drinking water and disinfection, groundwater quality modeling, resource recovery and water reuse, and hydrology/hydrogeology. In the civil infrastructure discipline, the preferred areas of expertise include: sustainable structural design, traffic engineering, intelligent transportation, innovative materials and infrastructure durability and health. We would be welcoming applications in both experimental and computational methods. The expertise of the candidate is expected to complement existing talent in the Department.
The College of Engineering at Temple University is poised for transformational growth through significant hiring within the College to expand its intellectual and research capabilities. The CEE Department is one of the fastest growing departments in the college with vibrant and successful undergraduate, graduate and research programs, and with the recent introduction of BS in Environmental Engineering. The Department hosts a National Science Foundation I/UCRC Water and Environmental Technology (WET) Center, and a number of industries and agencies are recent research sponsors. They include the EPA, NOAA, DoD, NSF, NIH, various DOTs, PA DEP, PA DCED, EPRI, Philadelphia Water Department, and the Department also has a master services agreement with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
