The Senior Water Resources Specialist position in the Imported Water Unit provides a leadership role in:
Key Responsibilities Include:
An important part of this job is maintaining working relationships with other water districts, as well as local, State and federal agencies. This will require extensive travel, may require overnight stays 3 days a month, and may include 4-5 hours of freeway driving in a single day several times a month to and from external meetings. Last minute travel may also be required.

A best-fit candidate for the Senior Water Resources Specialist would exhibit the following characteristics:
Has a degree and experience in civil and/or water resources engineering, financial and economic analysis, hydrologic modeling, and water law.
License or Certificate:
Some positions may require the possession of a valid license as a Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist issued by the California Board of Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists. This position does not require registration.
Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid California driver's license. Individuals who do not meet the driver's license requirement due to a disability will be considered for a reasonable accommodation on a case-by-case basis.
