The City of Webster’s Public Works Department is accepting applications for the position of Project Manager. The purpose of this position is to assist in the coordination and direction of City capital improvement projects. This is accomplished by participating in the planning and coordination of projects and assisting in the management of planning of rights-of-way and plats. Other duties may include coordinating GIS and materials testing services, participating in the budget process and interfacing with other City employees and citizens.

Work involves choices of action within limits set by standard practices and procedures. Professional judgement is required to apply the proper course of action.
Work requires supervising and monitoring performance for a regular group of employees or a work unit including providing input on hiring/disciplinary actions and work objectives/effectiveness, performance evaluations, and realigning work as needed. A first line supervisor typically performs these functions.
This is an Essential Services position and the employee will be required to provide services in the course and scope of employment for the benefit of the general public during emergency situations that threaten the safety of Webster’s citizens.
