The University of South Florida invites applications for a Senior Faculty position at Full Professor level in the Department of Medical Engineering. The successful candidate is expected to lead a team of trainees, including graduate students in doctoral research, and teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in biomedical engineering. The Faculty Member will contribute to USF’s successes in a priority BME research area such as neuroengineering, cardiac engineering, biomedical imaging, tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, nanotechnologies, drug delivery, biomechanics, orthopedics, prosthetics or drug development. This is a singular opportunity for a leader in bioengineering or biomedical engineering to develop novel initiatives at putting together high impact research groups; and participate in novel initiatives aimed at enhancing graduate and undergraduate students' participation in research teams composed of engineers and graduate students in biomedical engineering, and research-oriented physicians; as well as development of new and improved curricular and co-curricular experiences in clinical and hospital settings.
