The Supervisor, Process Quality Control is responsible, day-to-day, for the material inspection, metrology, sterilization, scheduling, training, and performance management of the Process Quality Department at JAX facilities. The incumbent is responsible to see that all materials and equipment are properly inspected, validated, and maintained, that standard operating and safety procedures are followed and that the work area presents a disciplined, innovative and congenial working environment. The incumbent is expected to possess in-depth knowledge and familiarity with all operating requirements and procedures of the process quality control, animal room and operation areas. The incumbent is responsible for PQC interactions with internal customers (JMCRS Animal Care, Operations and Services areas, Repository, Reproductive Sciences, Research Animal Facility, Safety, Maintenance and Engineering, etc.) and external vendors and calibration companies. Critical elements of successful performance include effective leadership, training and development of assigned staff, meeting product quality specifications, continuous improvement initiatives, and advising and assisting senior management in the development and implementation of quality programs as well as the safety performance of their assigned team.
