POSITION: Full-time, nine-month lecturer position in Agriculture Systems Management in the Agriculture and Natural Resources Department at the Crookston campus of the University of Minnesota starting January 2, 2019. A competitive fringe benefits package is offered.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Deliver high-quality undergraduate instruction to students in the Agriculture Systems Management program. The successful candidate may teach courses in, but are not limited to, Introduction to Precision Agriculture, Remote Sensing Applications in Precision Agriculture, Introduction to Agriculture Systems Management, Introduction to Renewable Energy Systems, Facility Maintenance and Safety, Agriculture Machinery Management, Ag Mobile Power and Hydraulics, Solar, Wind, and Geo-Thermal Systems, Welding and Facilities Planning and Selection. A strong emphasis is placed on hands-on activities and learning. The candidate is expected to contribute to further develop current and future programs; advise students; engage in department and campus service activities; participate in recruitment and retention efforts; and help expand our network with the industry to benefit our programs, student experience, and student employment opportunities. The candidate should be open to teach both on campus and online courses.
