Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management on Utility Services projectsSUE, Utility location and Utility CoordinationUtility Services employee ManagementAid in Marketing Survey, SUE and Utility CoordinationWork with the geomatics services manager to achieve department goalsContinued training of field crew personnelProvide quality control and quality assurance on Utility Services deliverables
Project Related ResponsibilitiesAll facets of Utility Services Projects Including;Daily designation of all sub surface utilities, utilizing geophysical, and magnetic equipmentDaily use of ground penetrating radar (GPR) to detect slab voids, steel reinforcement, structural evaluations, utilities and non-metallic /metallic objectsDaily operation of vacuum excavation truckDaily contact with utility companies to coordinate design conflict resolution plansPreparation of cost and time estimates for Utility Services proposalsPreparation of invoices for projectsReview conflict resolution cost estimates provided by utility companiesImplement and improve upon Utility Coordination service levelDaily coordination with various utility engineers for collection of records researchSite inspectionMonitor technical and quality control standardsAssist geomatics services manager in purchase of all supplies, and required equipment
Employee Related ResponsibilitiesDirecting and coordinating the activities of Utility Services techniciansAid geomatics services manager in creating and administering personnel policiesParticipates in and supports development of long term goals and objectivesMonitor and improve upon production levels, and staff utilizationCoordinate training efforts
Management Related ResponsibilitiesGenerate new business leads using various marketing strategiesStrengthen existing client relationshipsAssist in the development of new marketing materialAnalysis of activities, costs, operations and forecast data towards goal attainmentEnforcing company policies with respect to safety, protocol, and procedure.Support for utility services nd survey staff as neededAssist with CADD Mapping as needed (AutoCAD, MicroStation)
Skills / QualificationsRequiredExcellent communication skills (both written and verbal)Excellent organizational skillsComputer skills and technical competenceCommitment to work with other sections and divisions of Amec Foster Wheeler10 – 15 years of utility experienceValid driver’s licenseHigh School DiplomaAbility to travel
PreferredPrefer familiarity with AutoCAD and MicroStationPrefer familiarity with surveyingPrefer Department of Transportation experience in NC, SC, FL, GA
